Power CSL
Established in 2006, Power CSL is an engineering company delivering products and services associated with subsea power cables and umbilicals. It had enjoyed reasonable success in the oil and gas market but depressed oil prices were having a negative impact on its growth and there was a need for change if the company was to achieve its goals.
With his long and successful career in the industry and, in particular, his experience of building the JDR business, Patrick Phelan had the knowledge and contacts in the industry, at senior leadership, managerial and operational levels, to help Power CSL raise its profile and market its products.
EBC’s involvement with Power CSL led to strategic alliances and the important first sale of the newly developed product. Patrick became the company’s marketing conscience; applying internal pressure where necessary and pushing the team to drive the business forward.
Patrick Phelan was able to accelerate the development of our business and identify new opportunities for growth. We could have wasted a considerable amount of time talking to the wrong people in the industry without his support.
We now have an ongoing relationship with EBC which is flexible and enables us to benefit from Patrick’s knowledge, knowhow and network when we most need it, without the burden of heavy on-going consultancy fees.
In 18 months Patrick has enabled the first sale of our HV product and accelerating our development towards large future growth. EBC has helped to unlock the growth potential of our business.
